About LaTonya Washington, LCSW-S

I’m LaTonya Washington, a Licensed Clinical Social Worker and the founder of Changing Seasons Therapy. I offer online therapy in Alabama for cycle-breakers, caregivers, and women who are ready to heal from trauma, burnout, grief, relationship struggles, and major life transitions.

My Story

I understand firsthand what it means to be a cycle-breaker. I am a first-generation college graduate from Hulls, Alabama, a rural farming community, and I know what it means to come from a place where hard work, survival, and responsibility are part of the story. I have also walked through life as a single mom and now as a proud glam-ma to my three-year-old grandson, which deepens my understanding of the love, sacrifice, and resilience so many women carry every day.

Who I Help

Many of the women I work with have spent their lives caring for everyone else. They are the dependable ones, the strong ones, the ones who hold the family together, show up for others, and keep going even when they feel overwhelmed, lonely, or disconnected from themselves. Some are questioning their purpose, some are trying not to repeat painful family patterns, and some are learning how to heal after unexpected, painful, or unwanted endings.

What I Help With

I also support women coping with grief, medical diagnoses, anxiety, burnout, caregiver stress, and relationship challenges. My practice is a space to process what has been heavy, make sense of what has changed, and begin building a life that feels more peaceful, aligned, and your own.

My Approach

My approach is warm, collaborative, culturally responsive, and grounded in real-life healing. I draw from Brainspotting, ACT, CBT-I, and the Gottman Method to help clients move through emotional pain, strengthen relationships, improve sleep, and reconnect with themselves. Therapy with me is not about perfection; it is about creating space for honesty, care, and meaningful change.

Creative Expression

Outside of my work as a therapist, I enjoy abstract painting and hand-building clay projects. Creativity is one of the ways I stay connected to reflection, expression, and the beauty of making something meaningful out of what has been shaped by life.

Work With Me

Changing Seasons Therapy reflects my belief that healing can happen with compassion, clarity, and support. If you are looking for online therapy for women, therapy for caregivers, or therapy for cycle-breakers, I would be honored to walk with you.
